Welcome to the 2026 CAPED Convention in beautiful Palm Springs! For new and returning attendees, we would like to introduce ourselves: Briseida Ramirez-Catalan (Mt. San Antonio College Noncredit Faculty) and Dr. Carmen Stephens (Pasadena City College Counseling Faculty). As Co-Chairs, it is our honor to welcome educators, advocates, families, and partners from across California who are united in their commitment to supporting college students with disabilities.
CAPED 2026’s convention theme is “Navigating Change: Building Resilience in Education”, which reflects the frequent changes in higher education today. This year’s gathering offers a variety of opportunities to connect, learn, and inspire one another while advancing inclusive practices and equitable outcomes for all students.
Set against the vibrant backdrop of Palm Springs, we look forward to meaningful conversations and training, with continued effort to move our student-centered community forward. Thank you for being part of this important work and for making the upcoming CAPED 2026 experience truly impactful.
Thank you for being a valued CAPED member! We’re thrilled to have you as part of our community.
